Guaranda Carnival is most celebrated carnival in Ecuador. Guaranda is also known for this Carnival. This carnival is celebrated by the people of the Bolivar province.

The carnival’s main features are the selection of the Kuski Raymi Nusta means “pretty woman” and referring to the Queen of carnival and the presence of Taita Carnival and Mama Carnival as the two male and female carnival characters who supervise over the parades and festivities. In the Carnival chickens, rats and pigs are fatten up and killed in order for the best local dishes to be made for the celebrations.

Ecuador is a South American country. It is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean. Quito is the capital and second most-populous city of Ecuador. Guaranda is situated in the region of Bolivar. Its name was taken from the old Indian chief Guaranda.
